SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage is a type of massage developed to maintain the health and improve the performance of athletes. It is generally associated with the professional athlete, and it has certainly proven itself in that arena. Today, the word is getting out that sports massage can be extremely beneficial to the non-professional athlete and the weekend warrior. All athletes deal with a wide range of issues such as tight muscles, poor posture, repetitive use injuries, adhesions in the muscle and connective tissue, and scar tissue. The professional athlete has a wide range of experts making sure they are at the peak of their performance. The non-professional athlete and weekend warrior are typically on their own. This brings into play a wide range of issue that can affect their performance and increase their risks for injury.
What can I expect at a Sports Massage Appointment?
This is a very interactive session between you and the therapist. Sports massage typically requires deep tissue work, we’ll use a pain scale of 1-10, with a target of 6-7. This will enable us to break up scar tissue, adhesions and tight muscles. Brian will be continually checking in with you and adjusting his pressure during this massage. Please wear bike shorts or exercise shorts and sports bra. If this is your first session with Brian, please schedule a 90min "New Client Appointment".
NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE with Brian
Do you need to:
Neuromuscular Massage (NMT) is a thorough program of recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes which utilizes specific massage therapy, flexibility stretching, and home care to eliminate the causes of many muscular pain patterns. This specific and scientific approach to muscular pain relief will help to bring about balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. Neuromuscular Massage enhances the function of joints, muscles and biomechanics (movement) and it releases endorphins, the body’s own natural pain killers. It can be part of a comprehensive program, complementing all other health care modalities.
What can I expect at a NeuroMuscular appointment?
Neuromuscular Massage may require your participation for stretching and muscle movement during the session. We will be using a pain scale, ranging from 1-10, in which we will be working within your pain tolerance. You may need to ice the area after the massage. If this is your first session with Brian, please schedule a 90 min "New Client Appointment".
NEUROMUSCULAR “LIGHT” MASSAGE with Christina

Neuromuscular “Light” Massage (NMT) is for those who are looking for specific and targeted massage therapy with the goal of reducing muscle tension and increasing flexibility – but prefer a massage technique not as deep as our traditional NeuroMuscular Massage with Brian. Perfect for those who prefer a more delicate touch, seniors or children. Neuromuscular “Light” Massage utilizes specific massage therapy techniques, flexibility stretching, myofascial release and home care to eliminate the causes of many muscular pain patterns.
What can I expect at a NeuroMuscular “Light” appointment?
Neuromuscular Massage may require your participation for stretching and muscle movement during the session. We will be using a pain scale, ranging from 1-5, the goal not to go over a 3 on your pain scale.
RAINDROP TECHNIQUE MASSAGE
Do you want a relaxing way to:
Raindrop Technique Massage (RDT) incorporates 9 different therapeutic essential oils, which are applied on the spinal reflex points on the feet and then applied to the spine. Raindrop Technique is not only extremely relaxing, it is a great immune support. Each essential oil supports a different system of the body, promoting full body wellness.
What can I expect at a Raindrop Technique appointment?
Just like a massage, you will lay under massage sheets and a blanket. The VitaFlex technique is used to apply the oils of Valor, Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, Marjoram, Cypress and Peppermint to the spinal reflex points on your feet. Next, the same oils are then dropped like rain, hence the name, one drop at a time to your back. The oils used are each targeting and supporting a different system of your body (circulatory, skeletal, muscular, digestive and respiratory).
Before each Raindrop Session we will discuss what your wellness goals are, so that we can tailor the oils for your specific goals. We also may include massage, additional VitaFlex, or manual lymph drainage if needed.
Since this is a cleansing technique, it is a good idea for you to make sure you are hydrated the day of your appointment.
MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE
Do you want to:
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle hands-on technique designed to attain and sustain proper functioning of the lymph system of your body. The lymph system removes toxins from cells and helps to deliver nutrients to your cells. Lymph is clear fluid that bathes each cell and then is transported through the lymph system to the heart to be processed by the liver and kidneys. When the lymph system becomes sluggish; fluids, proteins and toxins can accumulate compromising cellular functioning. The lymph system does not have a heart like our circulatory system does to keep things moving. Lymph is circulated throughout or bodies by muscle movement. Removal of lymph nodes, surgery, trauma, stress, extended sitting and infections can hinder the movement of the lymph system.
What can I expect at an appointment?
Manual Lymph Drainage is a very relaxing technique. A light touch is applied and your skin is “pulled” in the direction of the lymph flow for that area. It is best if you wear no clothes or underwear that is very loose, so as not to restrict the movement of lymph is any way. As with a therapeutic massage session, you will be covered with a sheet for modesty and comfort. The areas that will receive extra lymph drainage are where the lymph nodes are; neck, under your arms, stomach, crease where legs meet the body and under knees.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
We look forward to serving you!
